Artist Information

Beautiful crisp weather brought many visitors to the 2019 Arts & Crafts Show on the third June long weekend Central Coast Harvest Festival. New artisans displayed candles, bobbin lace making and wood creations. Somersby CWA astounded everyone with their fine knitting for children and Kulnura Garden Club enticed with a great range of plants outside. The MDA soup was delicious as always. Several new artists exhibited for the first time, including some from Tuggerah Lakes Art Society. Thank you to all visitors for their generous gold coin entry donations which helped to cover costs. The Harvies Portrait Prize had twelve entries across both Adult and Junior sections. Winners, judged by John Ellis, were first Lyndie Clarke who painted Terry Kyriacou from The Crossroads garage and second Stephen Stone with his drawing of Pat. In the Junior section, Mikaela Campbell won with her painting of Dave Brew from Runswell and second was Harriet who painted her friend Eyla. The People's Choice Award was hotly contested and voted on over the weekend, winner being Kim Heber with a drawing of James and his dog, and second was Liana Wright with her drawing of her parents, Phil and Sue Douglas Growing Together. Congratulations to Kulnura Public School who did a special display of portraits from the senior class. Plants for sale and gardening advice from Kulnura Garden club.
