I have always liked making things with my hands, and I have had a go at many different crafts. It is great to see the skills of knitting and crochet being rediscovered. I love the new, colourful 8 ply wools I use to crochet my "wild" horses. Recently I have expanded the crocheted menagerie to cows, sheep, ducks, chooks and goats too. The "3 Billy Goats Gruff" were fun to design. My latest project is making children's teepees, with bamboo poles. Each one is a metre tall to the top of the material, about 1.3 metres wide and with loops and tent pegs for going outside on the grass as well as inside. The flaps are held with velcro. I am having fun finding suitable material. I enjoy taking my craft to markets and watching children's delight.
